Who influences you graphically?   A bold, audacious, impertinent and even somewhat “naïve” idea of having a look at the place where everyone of us is aspiring to, the idea of having an opportunity of modelling, studying, percepting the city of the future which will be awaiting us in the nearest 50-100 years – that is the reason why I want to be an architect. Deprived of in-depth study cyber spaces of cities have always been of my great and genuine interest. A complex space structure of the megapolis made from reality and fairy tale already generates a more complicated structure of the city and social relations in it. Spaces of these “fairy-tales” have a large number of physical and mechanical laws alien to real space. An ability to fly over or move from one planet to another one, to pass through the walls during system bugs makes the city more complicated. Cyberspace full of hallucination and bugs, components of its own habitat has moved into a real megapolis which is being formed and organized simultaneously in the digital and physical space. High rate in the development of technologies enables these worlds already today come into contact more closely and naturally. “Tomorrow” we expect a completely different topography of the city. It will be a map which includes cyber worlds with intrinsic geography, laws of physics, qualities and even its own residents. It is as though landscapes of computer games have woven into the city space becoming its integral part. A question of dealing with the new habitat and new quality of the city combining reality and cyber fairy-tale is becoming more important. That is why it needs a special and thorough study. How will city’s inalienable ingredients, such as housing, public spaces, streets and squares look like? How will people of the future transform their perception of the comfortable city? During my intended period I would like to answer all these questions, to learn how to explore the future of cities plunged into a total cyber veil. “We are the generation that fell to witness cosmic epiphany.  How effective is the use of collage in emphasizing your cybertopia and juxtaposition of spaces and ideas?   Every course work required some definite treatment. It was necessary to find and select general methods of transmitting “conceptual information.” That is why control palette of such repeaters is broad. Such a variety of graphical editors as CorelDraw, Adobe Photoshop Cs5, Adobe InDesign was used. Computer graphics was supplemented with manual one as well as with experimental modelling.

How important is texture in converting the atmosphere of this speculated new era- space?   I deem that creation of such atmosphere is possible only after the author carefully composes both the city as a whole and its separate components. Such atmospheric images are capable to tell us about the nature of the future city more than stationary drawings.

What significance does color hold?   During the six years of study I learned to structure my thoughts from the research phase of prediction to the pilot phase of the designed program, its constituent components and ingredients. The starting point of my every project was to write a research manifesto, an article, which was further tested in experimental architectural scale. Thereby if we have “the management to use of tomorrow”, the self-sufficient pilot study and manifesto, it is very simply to create an image of the future cityAfter that the most interesting part of research starts at once. I want to realize how my city works, functions, transforms, decays, rots, decomposes and dies. I intend to create a full development cycle of the city from its origin to its final fracture and vice-versa. That’s why I need axonometric cuts. There is something stirs, moves, changes and breaks permanently. I perfectly realize what small screws I must tighten up, throw out and replace for better functioning of my city.

You describe this new era as heavily technologically driven- how is this represented in your collages vs your line drawings?    Predict the future with an absolute accuracy is not possible, because it is flexible and exist in constant transformation and changes, that is why maps of forecasts presented in the form of games, which can be played. Opening some lots during the game we look briefly at the future of humanity, meanwhile some of them collapses and on their places appears a new picture of events. Choosing particular filament from reeled, by passing of time, tangle of events, we modify the whole picture. In an attempt to tell the pseudo-similar story about the future of a human, which has not still started, in which even author hardly believes and does not expect, that others will believe it, he tried to model our future and make it sufficiently relevant for those changes and vibration, that have place in nowadays world. Nevertheless this story is truthful. It surely will happen with us in the near future. This future is not monolithic, it is madly bitter on taste and is spiced by butter amount of apocalyptic inventories and countless mistakes, which are made by humanity, at the same time it is madly sweet, because it is utopian quintessence of all the best and most sincere – Edenic fruit, that humanity will get after arrival on the place. And the possibility of an alternative outcome of events causes a person hostility and disagreement, which is close to neoperson’s disbelief in spirits inhabiting there. This position can seem as unfortunate omission, with a purpose to embellish the expected us future in the name of beauty, and that is why the author deliberately excludes its possibility. He offers us to prepare our heart for perception of still new and unknown for us values. He offers to try to imagine the world, in which a person, free of eye of religion and morality, travel in the endless cosmic oceans, constantly discovering new cosmic reservations. He clearly realize, that endless expanses of space, its floods and numerous branches, point out to imperfection and the falsity of religious legends, existing and keeping its actuality only within the limits of our Solar system. He also clearly realize, that for complete understanding of a cosmic structure it is necessary to get rid of experience gained over the centuries and, trying to rethink it, to build a new morality, which grows in the soil of endless space travels and human discoveries.

Project description: For the last few years mankind has accumulated more knowledge than it has all its previous history. This factor enables us to say that in the next few decades there will be fundamental breakthroughs in science and engineering which will result in changing society and the architectural design of cities. The degree of its influence could be compared to the age of Great Geographical discoveries.

A complex space structure of the megapolis made from reality and fairy tale already generates a more complicated structure of the city and social relations in it. Spaces of these “fairy-tales” have a large number of physical and mechanical laws alien to real space. An ability to fly over or move from one planet to another one, to pass through the walls during system bugs makes the city more complicated. Cyberspace full of hallucination and bugs, components of its own habitat has moved into a real megapolis which is being formed and organized simultaneously in the digital and physical space. High rate in the development of technologies enables these worlds already today come into contact more closely and naturally. “Tomorrow” we expect a completely different topography of the city. It will be a map which includes cyber worlds with intrinsic geography, laws of physics, qualities and even its own residents. It is as though landscapes of computer games have woven into the city space becoming its integral part.

The spatial structure of a housing estate is also flexible and mobile. All complex is formed round frame structure on which cranes move, completing and moving whole blocks of a complex. The part of frame structure can be sorted at once after completion of the region of a housing estate or intentionally to remain invested with a framework for potential possibility of further transformation and change in the future. The whole completed regions of a housing estate can move to the separate sector that “not to disturb” and “not to constrain” further building or to be interspersed directly in frame structure for transformation of a program palette or its intended consolidation.

Huge ships that at once become part of this block of housing estate, its organic communication and spatial cell. Its decks are temporary squares of the city, and construction woods of its street. On them inhabitants move. Having sated, the ship “sails” in the next swimming, and on arrival in the new port city, not become dusty indefinitely in megalopolis port, and joins new structure, as the spatial block. Main decks of the ships are covered with numerous weaving installations, reaching top level immigrant-workers start weaving goods for the city. Other ships serve as suppliers of a material for housing that is constructed here. It is a new format of the city street, new public space in a superdense and dynamic urban environment. To Hollywood are taken sights from all over the world. Statue of Christ the Redeemer, D’Eiffel and Shukhovsky towers. They at once become a part of this block of inhabited complex, its organic communication and spatial cell.
