The project aims for a critical position and flexible approach toward the shrinking local exhibition/cultural industries ("party") and the broader context of economic recovery following the global pandemic. While integrating the residential components with the potential to stimulate economic recovery, we intend to maintain the public quality inherited from the Messe Basel exhibition ground. It envisions a new hybrid model that offers an innovative living experience elevated above "a continuous public ground" with a multiplicity of recreational facilities for public activities and social exchanges for the residents, as well as the surrounding collectives.
