Over the course of correspondence between Chibbernoonie and Suzuko Yamada Architects, several topics were discussed and questions raised. We discussed Arata Isozaki and his unique process of creation. About his use of color, scale, dimension, projection, and illusion. We looked at drawings and photographs. We were perplexed by an x-ray axonometric of the Gunma Museum Auditorium showing an unusual projection of a cube onto the room’s terraced surfaces. We also spoke about color in space and asked ourselves a question that Henri Matisse once posed: How do I make this blue square more blue? This intervention attempts to answer that question.
