Eat Jackson Heights
Javier Flores
This project emerges as a response to “how it is possible to bring back a new conscious ecosystem where everything is already built?”
As there’s no space left, the project looks into the “liminal”, the forgotten areas, as a starting point for the creation of new structures capable of sustaining a new trans-species agricultural practice.
The project applies concepts of pixel farming and flexible fabrics which allow new species (fungi, pollinators, insects, and animals) to become part of this new ecosystem where humans act as part of it instead of above it.
Transforming urban systems into small-scale, self-sustaining ecological communities.
