Guild Hall
Isa Bagadov
The project intends to provoke an interest in crafts by providing the opportunity to learn from craftsmen in their own workshops. The closed exhibition space is designed to lead a visitor of the guild hall through the corridor and then diagonally through one of the six classrooms. The diagonal movement through the room forces the visitor to come into contact with the “the artefact” itself in the room. The high space glorifies the many crafts presented in the building. The windows at height obstruct the visitors' view so that they can only focus on what is happening inside.
This project was developed wthin the context of the University of Hasselt, Belgium, 2019.
