The project attempts to start conversations surrounding the communication of the danger of nuclear traces in decommissioned sites. Located in the site of Dungeness B—who has recently been moved to its defuelling phase—, the focus of the project looked into various methods of using long term nuclear waste warning messages through architecture instead of language. It makes the use of augmented landscapes—or nuclearscapes—as a speculative approach to extending a building’s timeframe, in an effort to catch up with the long radioactive decay timeline within the order of magnitude of 10,000 years.
