"Sequences" is a design proposal developed within the context of the University of Ferrara aiming to address the theme of urban regeneration from a time­based perspective. Too often certain projects missed initial outstanding goals because of planning not caring about many uncertainties the inherent complexity hides. Re-setting stakeholders' intention to let the citizenship's will emerge, the design process plans a gradual engagement of the area. From the reclaim of open spaces of the former military barracks' courtyard, the program results in a mixed-use district having students housing as main focus. Following the evolution of the worksite, a new volume completes the intervention linking students' to workers' spaces.
