“Silo Seeds” addresses the urgent loss of biodiversity and crop diversity by integrating seed banks into urban community gardens, aiming to preserve native plant species, promote environmental stewardship, and enhance food security. In response to global challenges of biodiversity decline and food scarcity, this project envisions urban gardening, seed banking, and community engagement converging to realize a sustainable future where biodiversity thrives and food sovereignty is ensured. By re-purposing grain bins and silos into affordable infrastructure, it transforms storage units into hubs of biodiversity preservation and community involvement.

Through hands-on seed preservation and exchange, residents actively participate in conserving native plants, fostering environmental stewardship, and cultural connection.
