Ammodo Architecture Awards 2025 is an editorial and curatorial project developed by KoozArch for Ammodo Architecture on the occasion of the announcement of the 2025 awardees. The project consists of a dedicated reader and the curation of the online celebration and announcement of all twenty-six recipients.
The reader brings together a series of contributions—editorials as well as critical conversations with members of the Ammodo network and the award winners—to reflect on the value of the Ammodo Architecture Award today and its ecological and social mission. It also highlights two projects selected for the Social Architecture Award: the revitalisation of a neighbourhood along Indonesia’s Gajah Wong River by SHAU, achieved through community-led interventions that enhance safety, sanitation, and connectivity; and the transformation of a former luxury hotel into an inclusive, socially and ecologically conscious community by gaupenraub+/–, offering affordable housing, reintegration opportunities, and shared public spaces.
Similarly, the announcement was conceived as both a celebration and a dialogue. It showcases the work of the awardees while situating their contributions within Ammodo Architecture’s broader mission to foster ecological and social engagement in architecture. The event was structured around three conversations that wove together the voices of the awarded architects, members of the Ammodo Architecture network, and representatives of the advisory board.
The aim was not only to honor achievement but also to spark reflection and exchange around the social and ecological potential of architectural practice today.
