Concéntrico presents the program for the 2025 International Festival of Architecture and Design as part of its new season, expanding the festival’s approach toward a renewed focus with permanent projects, educational programs, exhibitions, and touring events. After more than a decade redefining the use of public space through architecture and design, Concéntrico has established itself as an international platform exploring new ways of inhabiting and thinking about our cities.
The festival, taking place from June 19 to 24, 2025, in Logroño, will feature interventions by studios and creators such as Leopold Banchini Architects, MVRDV, Zyva studio, SalazarSequeroMedina, Sam Chermayeff Office, Studio ACTE, Andreia Garcia + Diogo Aguiar, Bayona studio, Traumnovelle, Lemonot + O-SH, Erazo Pugliese, BairBalliet, Nami ñami Studio, Soft Baroque, Sahra Hersi, h3o architects, Emil Ivănescu + Simina Filat, IC-98 & Suomi-Koivisto, Raghad Al-Ahmad, and Chris Kabel, among others. They are joined by the winners of the international open calls: Studio An-An, Abad, Borneo, and JMBAD (Joseph Melka, Balthazar Auguste-Dormeuil).
These teams work in co-production with partner institutions committed to cultural, educational, urban, and environmental development, generating interventions that activate public spaces from a critical and experimental perspective.
The 2025 edition revolves around the challenges of public space in times of climate, social, and cultural transformation. Through more than twenty interventions, it addresses topics such as material reuse and circular design, food as a collective practice, the recovery of water-related spaces, the activation of urban voids, and interspecies connections in the urban environment. The projects transform fountains, roundabouts, plazas, riverbanks, and streets into settings for gathering, play, rest, memory, and ecological advocacy, placing at the center the need to imagine more sustainable, empathetic, and caring ways of inhabiting the city.
The program is rounded out with exhibitions, concerts, workshops, and talks that open new channels for participation and experimentation. Beyond the interventions and installations, it offers activities that connect diverse formats and spaces, creating opportunities to discover, engage, and experience the city from renewed perspectives.
