Conceived as a broad investigation of his photographic work, the exhibition focuses on the theme of shadow, understood as the result of the encounter between light, space and time, three of the main coordinates of Guidi's research.
Curated by Alessandro Rabottini, the exhibition brings together a wide selection of photographs taken between the early Seventies to 2023, in an installation focused on the persistence and recurrence of certain themes across the decades. Although Guidi conceives, publishes and displays his work through the format of the photographic series, in this exhibition the works have been selected by focusing on single images, extrapolated from the series to which they belong. The works are placed in dialogue with each other according to a principle of poetic and formal tension, beyond the chronological succession and the separation between the genres of portrait, still life and architectural photography.
